I recently was refused an interview because of my cv and the fact that i had not been in previous positions for long enough . I explained that some of the companies had gone into administration and that the last job I had been i for 2 years had not been a suitable position for me. I was being genuine and honest but still turned down for interview please advise

I have made my first Powerpoint presentation and am so worried that I wont remember what to say during each point in a ten min presentaion. Do you have any tips?

Elaine- This is a hard one, sometimes poeple leave out jobs they think will get misunderstood. But I guess you need to just keep plugging away at it and someone will give you a break eventually. It can be a slog but at least your getting the feedback you need to work on moving forward.
Susan- Once you've done your powerpoint presentation, type out what you want to say and practice speaking it outloud (then you can edit it so that it flows) making sure you turn you head so that it looks as though your talking to everyone in the room. There is no Law saying you have to have memorised what you want to say...
Hope this is of some use Furzana
