Interview question - February 17, 2008

I have been with my current company for just over 2 years as a management accountant, I am looking to change divisions, into the commercial department.

How do I prepare myself for an interview for an internal position? How do I conduct myself in the interview given that the interviewers will have experience of me?

I have worked for the same company for 18 years and been in the same role for 7 years. I am at the stage where I am looking for a new start in another position.

How do I prepare for an interview when I know the people in the department well and how do I sell myself for this new position?

Hi I am due to have an internal interview and will be expected to ask questions. I am already familiar with the internal workings of the company. Any ideas what I may sensibly ask?
