Sacked - Do I Keep It On My CV?

I have recently lost my job; I am looking for some advice on how to get around this problem. I basically got sacked from my position due to racial discrimination towards an employee this is something I am not proud of and want to move forward from this.

I have realised I made a big mistake in doing this. I now need to know if I should keep my last job on my CV or lie and leave it out as I know I can get a pervious manager from another position to give me a reference if future companies ask for one. My role is within sales I am still only young and don't want this to affect me for the rest of my life. Please get back to me with an answer.

Regards, Martin

Yes, tell the truth

If I knew you were a racist I would have serious reservations immediately, and even if you expressed regret, I would have to be pretty desperate to employ you.

Gaps on the CV for whatever the reason are going to be of interest so avoid leaving one. If you have a way of getting a reference from the company you were dismissed from, then this would be the sensible option, unless you claim to have been abroad enjoying yourself etc. Clearly you are starting of on a bad foot with the employer though, by deceiving them.

Tell the truth, for these companies meet at local events, and all you need is for A to be talking to B & your old company rep at the event overhears your name.
If you try to conceal this, all it needs is a mate to be talking to a group about your situation. One member of the click working in the Recruitment industry. Say no more. You are not the first or last, to find yourself in this situation. I wish you the best.
