Can I move up?

The charity I work for has been awarded a new tender that involves the need to change my job description. There is a senior job which appears to have more than 50% of my existing job involved and another job on the same rate as I am on at the moment. I want to know if I have the right to be offered the senior post and if not be offered redundancy.

HR can basically manipulate the situation to get whatever outcome the Managers want. Happens all the time.

Best bet is to express an interest and evidence why you should get the job. Talking about 'your rights', is unlikely to get you the outcome you want.

Good luck
