Want To Move - But Not Job Hop

I felt very lucky to find a job easily as a 'returner' after 18 years bringing up a family.

The problem is that as soon as I started the job I realised the boss was unreasonable. She is frequently rude about my work and shouts at me in front of my colleagues. Most of the time this is unjustified. I am conscientious, work very hard, and have learned the job quickly. I have made a few small errors but she says she wants 100% accuracy. I do not think anyone can be 100% accurate.

I am unhappy in this job but have realised that I am a good worker with desirable skills to offer. I would like a different job.My question is:

1) Will it look bad on my CV if I only stay in my first job( after 18 years of not working) for a short time?

2) How do I get a new job without having to ask my current employer for a reference?
