Bullying in the workplace

I became the vicitm of bullying in my last permanant job, having witnessed it to another colleague before me and then another colleague after I resigned. I addressed the issue with HR which lead to the director interviewing my boss 3 days off site.

It was agreed by the director and my boss that things would change, however this did not happen - my health suffered and resulted in my resignation. Taking them to court for constructive dismissal was never an issue due to my health.

Although fully recovered health wise, I am only able to pick up low paid temping work which is driving me nuts. I am just going into my 5th week as a temp receptionist. How do I get out of this rut? I am loosing my confidence and started to think I am not worthy of anything better.Agencies have been all but useless, offering me jobs 8k below my previous salary and just a general admin role.
